Verses Of Quran on The Dignity Of a Muslim

The Dignity Of a Muslim
Verses Of Quran
Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:

Verily! A believing slave is better than a free idolater even though he may be more appealing to you. [Al-Baqarah 2: 221]

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:
Is he who was dead (being without Faith); and We gave him life (by giving him Faith) and set for him a light (of Faith); whereby he can walk amongst men, be compared to him who is in the deep darkness (of disbelief) from which he can never come out? (Meaning thereby, can a Muslim be compared to an unbeliever?) [Al-An'am 6: 122]

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:
Can he, then, who is a true believer, be compared to him who is an evildoer? Surely they are not alike. [As-Sajdah 32: 18]

Allah Subhanahu wa Ta'ala says:
Dignity of a Muslim Then We gave the Book (the Qur'an) as inheritance to those of our servants whom We have chosen. [Fatir 35 32]

Note: After Rasullullah Sallallahu 'alaihi wasallam this Ummah has inherited this book. Meaning thereby, that every Muslim of this Ummah has been distinguished by a unique honour which was previously only bestowed to Prophets. However, along with the honour it becomes the responsibility of each individual of the Ummah to convey the message of the Qur'an to the rest of mankind.

Islâm ! - The Modern Alternative
Some people think that to live an Islamic life is "restrictive". Islâm however, was revealed as a balanced way of living.

Allâh (The Most High) created all the humans with what is called 'A Fitrah' (a natural state/desire)[1]. Islâm recognises that within this Fitrah there are motivations that influence a man's role on earth e.g. a desire for good food and drink, to have a home, a desire for love and sex, to protect and be protected and to be successful and strong. Without some form of control and limit, all of these legitimate motives could prove very dangerous.
So what constitutes the perfect control for the Fitrah? It must be a method that provides an organised yet practical demonstration of how to balance all these natural human desires. It cannot be something that goes against the Fitrah, by placing on it extra burdens. Likewise, it cannot be something that allows the human desires to run wild without any form of control.
Islâm is the perfect control for the Fitrah. It provides a divine method that elevates man above animals and the rest of creation.

Limited Wisdom

Humans lack perfect knowledge as well as perfect wisdom. No matter how hard we try, we will never attain the perfect way of life by our own thinking and interpretation. This is the reason why Allâh being the Most Wise, sent us the Qur’ân and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW)[2], to show us this practical and organised way of life. Allâh, being Perfect, in His Wisdom and Knowledge, perfected a complete way of life for us. He has set His limitations and rules, all of which are beneficial to mankind, and therefore, do not need changing:
"These are the limits (set) by Allâh, so do not approach them" (Sûrah al-Baqarah 2:187) "These are the limits set by Allâh, so do not transgress them" (Sûrah al-Baqarah 2:229)
This is why Islâm does not allow celibacy, because it is against the Fitrah, i.e., the desire for sex. Celibacy goes beyond the limits required by humans, and is something that cannot be fulfilled because humans are designed to procreate. As humans we are not expected to fast every single day for the rest of our lives (for most 30 days of the year provides an up-hill struggle). It is also from ignorance to say that 'I shall not sleep during the night, but rather I shall pray!' [3] Humans have not been created by Allâh to live life in such a manner. There is a balance which must be observed.
The following incident describes the Islamic stance towards such behaviour, Anas reported that some of the Companions of Allâh's Messenger (SAW) used to say:"I will not marry women"; someone else said:"I will not eat meat"; and someone else said:"I will not lie down in bed". (On hearing this): The Prophet (SAW) praised Allâh, and glorified Him and said:
"what has happened to these people that they say so and so, whereas I observe prayer and I sleep too. I observe fast and I break my fast; I marry women also. And he who turns away from my Sunnah (i.e., my example or lifestyle), he has no relation with me" [Narrated in Sahîh Muslim vol. 2. p703. no. 32361].
Islâm on the other hand, does not allow the person to surrender themselves to lust and desire, as in contemporary 'civilisation'. Islâm recognises the love a man has for women, children, gold, silver, and other possessions. But it provides a limit for the amount of this worldly pleasure which we require, and reminds us of the life in the hereafter.

“ Beautified for men is the love of things they desire: Women, Children, much of gold and silver (wealth), branded beautiful horses, cattle and well-tilled land. This is the pleasure of the present world's life, but Allâh has the excellent return (Paradise)" (Sûrah Ali-Imrân 3:141)
The inclinations and desires of the Fitrah are not to become the objective in life. Rather they are to be taken in a stabilised manner. The way to deal with them is real and Allâh (The Most High) has given us the detailed descriptions of a levelled approach. This leveled approach gives mankind the perfectly balanced pleasure in this worldly life. The method of maintaining a well-balanced life is not an endurance test to see who lasts the longest. Allâh has revealed Islâm , to show us how to attain this balance in a real manner. Life is not a torturous spiritual test, where you are ordered to live in mountains and trees. Fasting all year round is not obligatory. Marriage is permissible and you do not have to beat yourself senseless to purify your soul! Rather as Muslims, we must try to follow the Prophet and his balanced teachings of life and living. As Allâh says in the Qur'ân:
"Indeed in the Messenger of Allâh (saw), you have a good example to follow.." (Sûrah Al-Ahzâb 33:21)

Restrictive Rules

The use of the word "restrictive" often comes from those who think they live a "free- life". But the fact of the matter is that, wherever you go you will find rules and regulations. For example, in the workplace, in colleges and universities and more obviously on the roads, i.e. the highway and green cross codes. Wherever you are, there are rules and regulations. Islâm forbids us to follow many of the rules which are held by western culture and subcultures. Yet people in the west are more than willing to obey them, because they believe that these rules will protect them. How wrong they are! Rave subculture is a classical example of this. Informal dance floor rules dictate to us ". . . . to drink lots of water, have frequent breaks and don't take too many pills in one go!" Despite these "recommendations", young people are still dying [4]. Western society is obsessed with 'safe sex', in order to 'prevent the risk of catching AIDS'. Despite the wide availability of contraceptives, AIDS is still on the increase, and people are dropping like flies from this killer epidemic.
Do we think of these rules as being restrictive? If anything you would expect them to bring about a sense of control and order, as well as increasing the pleasure. Without realising, people are ready and willing to accept many man-made rules. Rules that are invented by one group of people and to be obeyed by the rest of society. These rules are not perfect because man is imperfect, yet people accept them and hope and believe that they will benefit from them.

A Better Offer!

So when the Creator of the Heavens and the Earth is offering a reward which is high, and the Benefit is eternal, shouldn't we at least see what's on offer?
"You desire the good of this world, but Allâh desires (for you) the Hereafter. And Allâh is Almighty, All Wise" (Sûrah Al-Anfâl 8:67)

". . . in a lofty Paradise. Therein will be a running spring. Therein will be thrones raised high. And cups set at hand. And cushions set in rows. And rich carpets (all) spread out" (Sûrah Al-Ghâshiyah 88:10-16)
This worldly life has many good things in it. Things that Allâh has created for us to utilise. But the reality is all of these luxuries and benefits of the world will come to an end. For example, a person's good looks may do them many favours during their youth, but will it hold them on good ground when they are 60. Such is the reality of old age.
Likewise with wealth. Islâm allows you to gain wealth as long as you do not oppress other people, and transgress the limits set by Allâh (The Most High). An example of this is making people pay back more money than they actually borrow, through usury or interest payments.
However wealth can not benefit you when you die, as it only passes on to your family as inheritance. Such is the civility of modem society, that many people are even killed, just so that inheritance can be gained sooner rather then later!!
Thus, we should see ourselves as travellers on a journey. A traveller is one who is constantly on the move. He will only take essential provisions, and not all his life's possessions. Likewise, a person must realise that Allâh did not design the luxuries of this world to last forever. They only exist to aid our worship of Allâh , which will take us to the journey's end, the hereafter. Being human, we must one-day die, and our worldly benefits and luxuries will also perish. The true wealth is indeed with Allâh in the next-life. As Allâh says:
"Seeking the perishable goods of the worldly life. There are much more profits and booties with Allâh " (Sûrah An-Nisa 4:94)
Man-made restrictions exist in all aspects of western society. Industry, travel and leisure, are just a few of the sectors which are dominated by human restrictions. Humans automatically assume that these restrictions are there to protect them. In part this may be true, but what about the restrictions set by Allâh which can save the whole of man-kind? Such restrictions come from the One Who is Perfect, and not man, who is imperfect! The so-called 'freedom' of 'modern civilisation', is one which is defined for you, by another human. We are often told what is 'politically correct' and what is not. We are told that this is what everybody will be wearing this Summer, and that this is the film to watch. Those are the new Hollywood stars to emerge. You shouldn't be seen 'dead' in this dress and you should paint your finger-nails this colour. The list is endless. All of this is then redefined to fit in with the next wave of fashion trends.
Those who do not conform are labelled, bigamist, narrow-minded, backward, out-dated and so on.
Modem civilisation allows you so much freedom, that you can even waiver the law if you are 'well connected'. Laws are often defined by a small group of people, with everyone else conforming to what they consider right and wrong. What kind of justice is this? This would be more acceptable to those who accept the concept of man being divine. A concept where men decide what is moral and immoral even if it contradicts what God has already laid out for us. God has no part to play in such a civilisation, because man has adopted the role of god for himself. History bears witness to this as it was the way of the civilisations before the advent of the prophet Muhammad (SAW), as Allâh says:
"They (Jews & Christians) took their rabbis and their monks to be their lords besides Allâh (by obeying them in things which they made lawful or unlawful according to their own desires without being ordered by Allâh )" (Sûrah 9:31)
The true freedom of man is found in a civilisation that has a divine value system. A civilisation in which man submits to his Creator alone. A civilisation that reacts with the life of this world and links it to the Day of Judgement. On that Day, everyone will be held accountable in front of ALLآH , the Creator and The True Master of the universe.

The Purpose

Allâh created man and man belongs to Him. Allâh decreed that one day man shall die and return to Him. The world is just a temporary period. We are born, we live in this world and then we die. So while we are on this earth Allâh has given us the instruction manual to shape our lives according to what He has decreed. This is the meaning of worship. It requires absolute obedience, humility and love for Allâh, the way He has prescribed it.
We cannot love Allâh the way we want to, especially if we do not know what Allâh loves or hates in the first place.
So through Allâh's Perfect Wisdom and Infinite Knowledge, He sent us the Qur'ân and the Prophet Muhammad (SAW), and told us how this love is to be expressed:
"Say (O Muhammad (SAW) to mankind): If you really love Allâh then follow me (i.e. the Prophet (saw), and accept that Allâh is the one truly deserving of worship, follow the Qur’ân and the Sunnah). Allâh will love you and forgive you your sins. And Allâh is Most Forgiving, Most Merciful" (Sûrah آli-Imrân 3:31)

The Problem with Human Law

Humans by themselves cannot determine what is good and bad for each other for all of the time. Man-made laws are often defined by a person's personal motives, emotions, limited intellect, beliefs and prejudices. Thus, they are designed with these built-in flaws. This is why human law has so many loop-holes and deficiencies. It is always requiring change, modification and re-modification, time after time!
So when Allâh (The Most High) revealed the Qur’ân and the example of the Prophet (SAW), all the details about good and bad, or right and wrong, were not left for the limited nature of mankind to define for themselves. Allâh (The Most High) says:
"And We have sent down to you the Book (Qur’ân) as an EXPLANATION of EVERYTHING and a GUIDANCE, a Mercy and glad tidings for those who have surrendered (to Allâh as Muslims)" (Sûrah An-Nahl 16:89)

So What is Islâm saying?

The message of Islâm fits the Fitrah of man. Allâh (The Most Wise) created man in the best form. He gave his Fitrah the ability to believe in the unseen. Thus, man's soul and its horizons are broader and more open than that of the rest of creation - like the animals, bird's and insects. In nature we can see the signs of Allâh :
"Do they not look at the camels, and how they were created? And at the heavens, how it is raised? And at the mountains, how they are rooted and fixed firm? And at the earth, how it is spread out?" (Sûrah Al-Ghâshiyah 88:17-20)
In ourselves we can see Allâh 's signs through the diversity of our languages, colours and nationalities.
"O mankind! We have created you from a male and female, and have made you into nations and tribes, that you may know one another" (Sûrah Al-Hujurât 49:13)
Having been told this, we must now recognise the Perfect way our Creator has chosen for us to follow, which is:
"Indeed, in the Messenger (Muhammad [saw]), you have a good example to follow" (Sûrah Al-Ahzab 33:21)
We have been commanded to worship Allâh alone without partners. We must recognise and understand that He is the Only True God who deserves to be worshipped;
"So know (Muhammad [saw]), that none has the right to be worshipped except Allâh " (Sûrah Muhammad 47:19)
To help us do this, Allâh (The Most High) sent the Prophet Muhammed (SAW), to deliver and explain the Final Message of Islâm , and to help us recognise and worship our Lord in the best manner. We have been told to form our lives' according to this Message, by following and imitating the Final Messenger who is our only guide to worshipping our Lord: Allâh .
This is what is meant when we say: Lâ-illâ-ha il-Allâh, wa Muhammadur Rasool-Allâh . "There is no true God worthy of worship except Allâh, and Muhammad is the Final Messenger of Allâh"
1 This can be explained as, the inborn or innate nature of mankind to recognize the Truth about the Creator [Allâh ]; that he is the only one who truly and sincerely deserves to be worshiped.
2 SallAllâh u Alayhi Wassallam, i.e. The peace and Blessings Of Allâh Be upon him (the Prophet). We as Muslims have been commanded to say this every time the Prophet's name is mentioned. This is done as a mark of respect and the honour which he deserves.
3 This is not to say that prayer at night is not important, but if you don't get enough sleep how are you going to fulfil your other obligations, e.g. going to work in order to provide for your family. The times of praying at night have been explained by the Prophet (SAW) as being in the last 3rd of the night before the Fajr prayer.
4 The death of the teenager Leah Betts a few years ago [in England], has shown how such rules work to destroy the very society which forms them.

Who are We:Deobandi/Barelvi/Slafi/Ahle Hadith

TAKEN FROM
 http://www.central-mosque.com/index.php/Islam/who-am-i.html
WITH their permission and thanks.

Recently Shaykh (Mufti) Rafi Usmani (HA) from Pakistan visited London and gave an hour lecture to Scholars at Ebrahim College (London) entitled "The Role of Ulema in Realising Unity". Although it's difficult to accurately translate and convey his message in English, we thought that it may be wise to convey the theme of his lectures in English.

Shaykh (HA) stated that he is disturbed about the rise of Sectarianism in UK and the labels which Muslims are attaching to themselves and their institutes e.g.:

1 Deobandees

2 Salafees

3 Barelwees

4 Ahl-e-Hadeeth

Shaykh (HA) jokingly asks, "Are there any Muslims around? And where are their Masjids?"

From here on, we indeed to expand upon the idea of the noble Shaykh (HA).

Our sincere brothers and sisters attach these labels to themselves and their institutes in order to make a distinct identity and to separate themselves from the rest. However, the reality of the matter is that these labels which Western Muslims attach to themselves are no longer sufficient and even need further subdivision and with time it appears that these divisions will only increase and may Allah (SWT) save us from it.

It isn't our intention to lecture our noble and sincere brothers and sisters and to "refute" the label which they have chosen for themselves as we are sure that they have evidence from the Qur'aan & Sunnah for their label and ample justification on why they chosen it. Our intention is only to show that Allah (SWT), His Rasul (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) & the companions (RA) also had an identity and a label which was "Islam" and "Muslim" respectively.

The identity of "Islam":

The religion chosen by Allah (SWT) for mankind is "Islam" and it is unambiguously conveyed in the Qur'aan:

[3:19] Truly, the (recognized) religion in the sight of Allah is Islam . Those who have been given the Book did not differ (among themselves) until after the knowledge had come to them, (and all this) due to envy against each other. Whoever denies the verses of Allah, then, Allah is swift at reckoning.

The label of "Muslim":

Similarly the label chosen by Allah (SWT) for us is "Muslim", in fact its a name given to us by Allah (SWT).

[22:78] Struggle for (seeking the pleasure of) Allah, a struggle that is owed to Him. He has chosen you and did not impose any hardship on you in the religion, the faith of your father Ibrahim. He (Allah) named you as Muslims earlier and also in this (Qur‗an), so that the Messenger becomes a witness to you, and you become witnesses to (other) people. So establish Salah, pay Zakah and hold fast to Allah. He is your patron. So, how excellent He is as a patron, and how excellent as a supporter!

The label of "Muslim" was known and used by the companions to distinguish and differentiate themselves from others and to distance themselves from their past. We will suffice in only giving two extreme examples where the mere ascription to the label of "Muslim" was sufficient as an identity and a distinguishing factor.

Sayyidina Ikrimah Ibn Abu Jah'l (RA) from avowed enemy to "Muslim":

The story of Sayyidina Ikrimah Ibn Abu Jah'l (RA) is well known to Muslims. He was the son of Abu Jah'l one of the foremost enemies of Islam and remained on the path of his story until Amnesty was granted to him by Sayydina Rasul-ullah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) himself. On the occasion of his conversion the following exchange took place:

...The Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) then instructed him to say, "I call on God and those present here to witness that I am a Muslim who is a Mujahid and a Muhajir". This Ikrimah repeated and then said: "I ask you to ask God for forgiveness for me for all the hostility I directed against you and for whatever insults I expressed in your presence or absence." The Prophet replied with the prayer: "O Lord, forgive him for all the hostility he directed against me and from all the expeditions he mounted wishing to put out Your light. Forgive him for whatever he has said or done in my presence or absence to dishonour me." Ikrimahs face beamed with happiness.

Sayyidina Furat Ibn Hayyan (RA) pardoned for being a "Muslim":

Sayyidina Furat Ibn Hayyan (RA) was awarded the death penatly and here is his testimony which resulted in his pardon.

Narrated Sayyidina Furat ibn Hayyan (RA) The Apostle of Allah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) commanded to kill him: he was a spy of AbuSufyan and an ally of a man of the Ansar. He passed a circle of the Ansar and said: I am a Muslim. A man from the Ansar said, Apostle of Allah, he is saying that he is a Muslim. The Apostle of Allah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) said: There are people among you in whose faith we trust. Furat ibn Hayyan is one of them. [Abu Dawud]

Whom should I follow?

Since the intention behind using a label other then "Muslim" is indeed noble and sincere, the question then arises what and how should a Muslim live their life? The path for a Muslim is very clearly laid out in the Qur'aan and Sunnah but before elaborating it must be made clear that salvation in Islam is in actions and not in labels. Merely labelling oneself to part of this group or that group is neither sufficient nor a guarantee of success. The pathway to a Muslim is as follows:

1 Obey Allah (SWT)

2 Obey Rasul-ullah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam)

3 Traverse the path of the first three generations of Islam which includes the companions of Rasul-ullah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam), the generation which followed them and the generation which followed them.
The explicit commands given in the Qur'aan & Sunnah are pretty clear:

[4:59] O you who believe, obey Allah and obey the Messenger and those in authority among you. Then, if you quarrel about something, revert it back to Allah and the Messenger, if you believe in Allah and the Last Day. That is good, and the best at the end.

[4:64] We did not send any Messenger but to be obeyed by the leave of Allah.

[3:31] Say (O Prophet): .If you really love Allah, then follow me, and Allah shall love you and forgive you your sins. Allah is Most-Forgiving, Very-Merciful.

[33:21] There is indeed a good model for you in the Messenger of Allah - for the one who has hope in Allah and the Last Day, and remembers Allah profusely.

[33:36] It is not open for a believing man or a believing woman, once Allah and His messenger have decided a thing, that they should have a choice about their matter; and whoever disobeys Allah and His messenger, he indeed gets off the track, falling into an open error.

[59:7]... And whatever the Messenger gives you, take it, and whatever he forbids you from, abstain (from it). And fear Allah. Indeed Allah is severe in punishment.

[9:100] As for the first and foremost of the Emigrants (Muhajirin) and the Supporters (Ansar) and those who followed them in goodness, Allah is pleased with them and they are pleased with Allah, and He has prepared for them gardens beneath which rivers flow, where they will live for ever. That is the supreme achievement.

[48:29] Muhammad is the messenger of Allah, and those who are with him are hard on the disbelievers, compassionate among themselves; you will see them bowing down in Ruku, prostrating themselves in Sajdah, seeking grace from Allah, and (His) good pleasure; their distinguishing feature is on their faces from the effect of Sajdah (prostration). This is their description in Torah; and their description in Injil is: like a sown crop that brings forth its shoot, then makes it strong, then it grows thick and stands straight on its stem, looking good to the farmers, so that He may enrage the disbelievers through them. Allah has promised forgiveness and a huge reward to those of them who believe and do good deeds.

Rasul Allah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) said: “Those evils which befell the Bani Israil shall befall my Ummah, so much so that if there were one amongst them that openly committed fornication with his mother there would be one among my Ummah who would do that too! And the Bani Israil split into seventy-two sects and my Ummah shall split into seventy-three sects. All of them will be in the Fire, except one group.” They (the Sahabah) said: “Which one is that O Rasul Allah (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam)?” Whereupon he said: “It is the one to which I and my Companions belong.” [Tirmidhi]

Narrated Sayyidina 'Abdullah (RA): The Prophet (Sallaho Alaihe Wassallam) said, "The best people are those of my generation, and then those who will come after them (the next generation), and then those who will come after them (i.e. the next generation), and then after them, there will come people whose witness will precede their oaths, and whose oaths will precede their witness." [Bukhari]

Our Final Message?

We invite people towards "Islam" and becoming "Muslims" and living their life according to the commands of Allah (SWT) and Sunnah of Sayyidina Rasul-ullah:

[12:108] Say, This is my way. I call (people) to Allah with full perception, both I and my followers. Pure is Allah; and I am not among those who associate partners with Allah.

Final Disclaimer:

It was stated previously but we would like to repeat again that it is not our intention to refute our fellow brothers and sisters or to judge between them or to doubt their sincerity or to call towards this group or that group.

This is a short message for those who wish to ponder on the matter of sectarianism plaguing the Ummah and may Allah (SWT) give us life and give us death on Islam (Ameen).

ITTEHAD-E-UMMAT (MUSLIM UNITY ACTION PLAN) muslim group

ROAD MAP and ACTION PLAN for effort of  ITTEHAD-E-UMMAT AND MUSLIMS UNIFICATION (Atleast decreasing the gap/ hatred between different muslim groups/organization)

Aim will be to
1.     TO decrease the gap/hatred between muslim ummah that is divided in                    groups and  subgroups/ideologies  and subideologies
2          Educate the general people about basis of differences in a positive and  unbiased  manner. If they will know the basis of differences, obviously no one will be able to misinform and misproject about differences.
3          If they will know the reality,No one will be able to increase the magnitude/quantity/and quality of differences. And resulting hatred and jealousy will decrease.
The next points is specific for Ulema e Karam/scholars/book and article writer/speakers/blogger/Islamic forums/active members of different groups.
4. While criticising other group/person we generally exceed the limits prescribed by Quran and Ahadith of Huzur Pak Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam and way of Salfussalihin. We even take the help of false accusation / lies/ misprojection/ concealing truth to degrade or make other group down, or to put in bad light.
So we want to

To draw attention of Muslim Intellectual/to start a thinking and approach for following quranic and Islamic principle while dealing in the matter of difference of opinion/ criticising (doing nahi anilmunkar ) of other group/person. So criticism should be in the form of Nahi Anil Munkar, not for strenthing our self created groups.

The effort to achive is of two types.
1. Propagating the importance of ittehad.
Very good  books/lectures are already there. To propagate them. Some concise   articles are needed with direct command from Quran and Hadith. The much stressed oncept of Ikrame Muslim (Rights of muslim,Recounciling differences among muslims, Warning against harming muslim) has to be revived, by educating direct command from Quran and Hadith

2. To decrease the causes of disunity (specially hatred and jealousy type of disunity). Points to ponder
A .Identifying common factors  for this hatred and jealousy
B   Asserting the legal and rational status of these factor     in  Islam.
C   Trying to search a solution.

Obviously some of these differences are natural and inevitable but that too are also being misprojected/being increased in magnitude for strenthing groupism/to let down others.

Everyone name so many groups among muslims
But if you ponder on the differences between these so called groups, they will fall under  some common categories. The ideological and personal differences move around certain common points.

After a discussion among colleague and studying different view points we have identified following common points in religious controversies.

If we could educate the ummah on following issues most of the hatred/ groupism will decrease.
These four Points are related with general muslim understanding.(Non Alim /Scholar)
1. Basis of Fiqh differences.
2.Why fiqh/following imam is advocated by some scholars for common man. What is position of those who say there is no need of Imam
3. Basis of Aqeeda differences, why school of aqeeda was formed? and ,How  it came in Second hundred hijri.Educating people the background (history of deviated groups like Muatazella etc) and therefore School of Aqeeda was created out of necessity and not out of fun.And in principle the mainstream aqeeda school namely Ashari/ Maturidi/ Athari(Salafi) has minor difference .And the main difference is in the way  of dealing with deviated groups in Aqeeda.
4. Tasawwuf reality /legal status / present scenario /and misprojection about Tasawwuf. (according to Talal mansur centre document on 500 most influential muslims, 25 % muslims are have some degree of attachment with it someway or the other. so we cannot leave it).
Points related with Ulemas/Scholars /book and article writer/speakers/blogger/Islamic forums/active members of different groups.

Major point of infighting/contention among ulemas and scholars of different groups who write secterian writing/refutation of other mainstream islamic group Obviously in the name of Nahi Anil munkar. But normally they donot follow Islamic teaching while doing this. And because of their wrong approach instead of achieving goal of Nahi Anil Munkar they result in

        1. Retaliatory writing / polemic type of debate
       2. Opponent group collect evidence for their wrong position
        3. At times it leave no scope of reconciliation.

Action plan for Scholars

1.      To draw attention of Muslim Intellectual/to start a thinking and approach for following quranic and Islamic principle while dealing in the matter of difference of opinion/ criticising (doing nahi anilmunkar ) of other group/person. So criticism should be in the form of Nahi Anil Munkar, not for strenthing our self created groups
2.      .Linking of the issues together while criticising (DOING nahi anilmunkar ) any person/organisation/movement should be legally according to quran and Ahadith
3.      While writing against other group requirement of doing on the ground research instead of relying on the version of opponent group,or having superficial knowledge. Its necessity /legal status according to verse of Quran e pak/Ahadeeth.
4.        Legal limits of branding anyone Bidati/outside of ahle sunnat wal jamaat (Sunni)/ or in rare case as kafir. and too extremely kufr of association.
5.      ANY Other point ..................................................................................
We have to make subcategories of all these points.
For these like minded people are required with the perspective of educating ummat.

For this we have started with a small blog http://ittehadummat.blogspot.com/

If you are agreed for the cause that something should be done for decreasing gap between muslim groups.  We donot need any financial help right now.

WHAT WE NEED FROM YOU?
1.      Your valuable comments and feedback on the whole programme.
2.       We want help in concise articles (10-15 pages on each) on above issue. (IT IS WELCOME IN ALL LANGUAGES but if initially if it is  in Urdu/English.It will be easy to be translated into other language. ). You can help by writing it.
3.      you can refer directly/ suggest us about persons /organization that can help us in writing small 10-15 pages article on these points.
4.      If you help in contacting competent persons it will be great help for us.
Kindly give your valuable suggestion. Is it a viable idea. You may refer your friends/other scholar for valuable suggestion.
Requesting for dua

MUSLIM GROUPS/ ORGANISATION:MAIN REASON OF DIFFERENCES

Assalam o alaikum Wa Rahmatullahi Wa Barakatuhu,
Experience (after doing unbiased study of contentious and controversial issues and their confirmation from original sources) indicates that most of the differences (those differences that are not anyway RAHMAT)among mainstream muslim groups have common reasons of mistrust/communication gap/no one is having time (concern) to confirm from original sources before believing and spreading misinformation and misprojection about each other.
Generally muslims donot know the basis/reason for these differences so they remain unable to quantify the scale of difference, and Iblees always present it at much larger scale than original. They are misprojected at greater magnitude in quality and quantity than the actual difference.
This forum will have a problem solving approach instead of argument and counter argument approach. Will work with the intention of doing something for the unification of ummah. As Allah Pak has said in Surah Al Imran (And hold on to the  cord of  Allah, all of  you, and be not divided .(Ayat l03)We cannot do anything,Only Allah Pak can do the affiars right but Allah Pak has commanded us to strive with correct intention. Our reward in Akhirah is sure even if we are not able to unite even two person as Allah Pak has promised to reward for good niyat.
Innamal Aamalu Binniyat (Bukhari)

May Allah help us.

Second principle of collective Muslim strength :UNITY ittehad e ummat

UNITY: The second principle of collective Muslim strength (other
one was TAQWA)

Allah said next,
(And hold on to the  cord of  Allah, all of  you, and be not divided .(l03)

The  golden principle of  unity has been  presented with  g r e a t   eloquence  a n d wisdom,  for  t he   principle, being  the   only effective binding factor, h a s  been identified  before  the  command  to unite was given, following which, came the prohibition  of  di suni ty and chaos.

we can turn to t h e  firs t   and  present   addressees  of  th e  Quran,   the  Muslims who believe t h a t  i n  t h e  world a s  we have found i t ,  t h e  Holy Quran is the only way of life revealed by Allah Almighty without any  shadow of doubt in i t , and  since Allah Almighty h a s  Himself t a k e n  t h e  responsibility  of  protecting it ,there  is  just   no possibility  of  interpolation  or change in i t  r ight  through to the  Day of Judgement . With t h i s  position
In  view,  I  leave  t h e   p a r t   of  t h e   subject  de a l ing wi t h   non-Muslim groups for some o t h e r  occasion  a n d  s a y  to Muslims alone who, being believers i n  t h e  Quran have no 'other alternative  line of  action except this. If different parties  among Muslims were to unite  on th e  system of the Holy Qur'an, thous ands  of  t h e i r  differences based  on group, race and  country  would be  resolved  instantly ,   which  block  t h e   road  tohuman  progress.  Whatever  difference may  r ema i n   among Muslims,would  possibly be i n  t h e  unde r s t anding a n d  t h e  int e rpr e t a t ion  of  t h e Qu r ' a n .  If  such  difference  s t a y s  wi thin  l imi t s ,  i t  i s   n e i t h e r   blame-worthy nor harmful to collective human living. I n  fact, t h e  existence of
such  difference of  opinion among t h e  learned  i s  n a t u r a l .  Therefore,
exercising r e s t r a i n t   a n d  observing l imi t s  should not be  so difficult to
manage.  Cont r a ry  to t h i s ,  if  o u r   p a r t i e s ,  were  to  go  on  f ight ing i n
complete disregard to t h e  Qur'an then,  they would not be left with any
possibility  of  correction.
The Holy Qur'En, i n  t h e  present verse, shows u s  t h e  way a s  to how we
can eliminate this  tendency to become divided when it  says:

And hold on to the cord of  Allah, all of you.
Here, th e  cord of Allah means  the  Holy Quran.  The  blessed Companion, 'Abdullah ibn Mas'ud is  t h e  narrator  of the  hadith  i n  which the  Holy Prophet  h a s  been reported to have s a id:
The  Book  of  Allah  is the   cord  of  Allah,  extended  from t h e
heavens to the earth.
 I n  a n o t h e r  n a r r a t i o n  of  t h e  h a d i t h  by t h e  noble  Companion, Zayd ibn Arqam, t h e  words are:

The cord of Allah is the  Qur'an (Ibn Kathir).

I n  s h o r t ,  t h i s  one  s t a t eme n t  of  t h e  Quran  i s  full of  wise  rule s  of conduct.  To  begin  with,  it  can  be  s a id t h a t  man  must   firmly  a c t  i n accordance  wi th t h e  way  of  life  revealed by Allah  Almighty, that  is ,the  Holy Qur'an.  Then comes the  unity of  action, t h a t  i s ,  all Muslims should join  h a n d s  to act i n  accordance with i t .  The r e sul t  will be t h a t
Muslims  will  become  united  a n d  organized  a s  if  t h e y  were  a  group holding  on to t h e  s ame  cord  firmly, t u r n i n g  t h e  whole  group i n t o  a powerful  single bodYBefore we move on to the second part of the verse, let us remember the two distinct instructions given to Muslims in this verse, that is, they should first live by the system prescribed for them by Allah Almighty, then, they should hold fast to 'the cord of Allah' all together. This is how the Muslim ummah gained ascendance in the past and there is no reason why, it will not rise again.

Dealing with negative aspect THE DISUNITY

Thi s  f a r  t h e  discussion revolved around t h e  positive aspect of  uni ty
among Muslims.  The  t e x t  now takes  up the  negative aspect when i t says:

﴿وَلاَ تَفَرَّقُواْ﴾                         and be not divided (among yourselves),

This is  another  example of the  peculiarly wise  style of the  Holy Qur'an when it  would  highlight the  positive   aspect   first ,  then  identify the  negative, and  forbid  the  later . In another verse it eas said

Surely, t h i s   i s  t h e   s t r a i g h t   p a t h ,   so,  follow i t .  And  do  n o t
follow (other) ways which will cause you to become s epa r a t ed
from His way. (6:153)

Since disunity i s  t h e  first a n d  t h e  l a s t  reason behind t h e  destruction of
, nation, therefore,  t h e  Holy  Qur ' an  h a s   r epe a t edly  forbidden i t  i n ways.

I t  h a s  been s a id i n  anothe r  verse:

Those who have made divisions i n  thei r  religion  a n d  become
sects, you  have nothing to do with them. (6:159)

Also narrated  in the  Holy Qur'an are  events concerning communities led  by  t h e i r   prophets ,communi t i e s   which  fell  i n t otemporal  a n d  e t e r n a l  disgrace because  of  t h e i r  m u t u a l  di sput e s  a n d disunity which  t u r n e d  t h em  away from  t h e  hone s t   p u r s u i t   of  t h e i r central purpose of life.

The Holy Prophet Sallallahu Alaihi Wasallam  has  said in this hadith recorded (Ibn Kathir from Abi Hurairah, (recorded in muslim)

“that  there  are  three  things Allah Almighty h a s  liked for you while there  are  three  others He has disliked.”
The ones He  has  liked are as  follows:
1. That  your worship should  be  for Allah  alone  a n d  t h a t  you
should not attribute  partne r s  to His divinity.
2. That  you should hold on to the  Book of Allah firmly and  avoid
disunity.
3.  That you  should have  goodwill for those  in   authority  from
among you.

The  three  things which cause Allah's displeasure are :
1. Unnecessary argumentation.
2. Needless asking.
3.  Wastage of  resources.

May Allah give us taufeeq.
